It Didn’t Start With You – By Mark Wolynn www.markwolynn.com
Mark Wolynn conducts seminars and workshops for mental health professionals. I have attended his workshop as the only non-healthcare field attendee.
Why this book? New subject and genre. How many of us know our own ancestors and ancestry? It’s a hush-hush subject and we don’t know anything about our lineage. Karma and past life are used to scare and keep people in fear. The scientific analysis and simple experiments make this subject interesting and useful. We do store our past life in our cell memory. That’s the reason a perfectly normal person goes crazy at a predetermined age and situation!
One of the popular exercises he teaches is to draw the family tree up to three generations back both father and mother’s side. Their names, livelihood, happy or fear moments and their last days. For me, personally, since my parents have passed hence could not collect any data for maternal and paternal grand parents (other than names and gothra)
Some of the quotes from the book. Copy right Mark Wolynn
The latest scientific research, now making headlines, tells us the effects of trauma can pass from one generation to the next.
Everything in our lives ultimately leads us somewhere
Unconsciously, we could find ourselves reacting to certain people, events, or situations in old, familiar ways that echo the past
“The mother’s emotions, such as fear, anger, love, hope among others, can biochemically alter the generic expression of her offspring”- Bruce Lipton’s quote
Traumas do not sleep, even with death, but, rather, continue to look for the fertile ground of resolution in the children of the following generations.
Many of us cannot see beyond the painful images of our childhood, and are unable to remember the positive things that happened to us. We recall of not getting what we wanted, not getting enough love.
